Hi sophie - you will be back when you read this all Florenced out! Thanks for the link it was the right person - if you put the buttercups as plural you get another blogger form 2006 in America who is clearly unhappy with her whole life in cluding her hubby and her inlaws!! We have just put an offer in for the other prewar semi and I am off today (flexi) waiting to see if they phone back today. Thought this afty I am doing the charities as treat........We loved the house and cant understand why we had it as second choice. So heres fingers crossed I wont withdraw the offer on the other one yet tho' we wont go for it anyway - I think they will take if off the market. Will keep you updated x
Sophie I am green again.. Florence... you will be smitten..it is an equisite place.. one of my favourites! (mental note to oneself .. put on list) Have a fabulous time~! I love your Steiff cats.. I have one too.. he sends his regards. Love Michelex
Bye bye Sophie! Farewell and bon voyage!!! I am green with envy, Florence is my favourite place in the whole wide world outside of home... actually I think I like it more! You will adore it! Everything about that place is magical! There's a great place if you cross the Ponte Vecchio, on the left after you cross it, can't remember the name but the fabrics you can buy there are exquisite, not to mention their homewares... wish I was there!
Florence is a beautiful city so I am sure you will have a wonderful time! Humm...that passionate kiss in the cornfield was with a man she had only just met. OOPS! Don't let Tom read your comments. LOL! It will be sad not to see any new blog entries here but I will look forward to hearing about your very own 'room with a view' when you return. And after missing you, Tom will be giving Spider cuddles and kisses I bet. Have a great vacation Sophie!
Florence was my honeymoon, and as far as I can remember there were no cornfields close to the city, and the corn will all have been gathered in at this time of year, so dismiss that romantic idyll from your head (one of those ideas best dreamt about this week!)and have a cracking time with the gels. Red wine, ice cream and lots of leather shops. Go for it, Sophie!
When I first saw your post, I thought that cat on your bedpost WAS Spider. It was kind of scary, but I have come to your blog before and been frightened by Spider in a frying pan, so why not on a bed post!
I will miss you, but look forward to your wonderful tales of adventure soon,
Ok, I'm back after my googling adventure~! I saw "Circle of Friends" and loved it, didn't realize there was a book behind it! Wooooohooo! What a great discovery to unearth! I'm going to have fun with this one~
Oh, Sophie, I hope you are taking lots and lots of pictures! I can't wait to hear all about your trip -- I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time! xoxo, Mary Love the bears, btw! :)
The Steiff cats are adorable! I've never seen those before, love em. I share your morbid fear of flying, but a trip "abroad" would probably get me on a plane too! Can't wait to hear about it. I'm also jealous that you know six people to go with!
Hi Sophie: I hope you have a wonderful trip! Florence is one of my favorite places. Karla P.S. I don't think kissing Spider is unhygenic - I kiss my little doggie all the time!
Hope you have a wonderful trip! And I love you pics of the cats. I didn't make it to Florence when I was there last year so I guess I'll just have to go back. LOL
Sophie, You'll have to read this when you get back I guess. So, I'm trusting your trip was remarkable and lavish!
A few things happened while you were gone. I lost 50 pounds. Won the lottery and blew it on flea market finds. A cure for the common cold was found and lost. Spider meowed so much for you that I hopped the pond (on my lottery winnings) and gave him some comfort because Tom wasn't getting the fleece thing right! But after a few days - all was well. And the cops persuaded the neighbors to drop the charges after the party we threw. So don't worry!
Hope your trip was fantastic and that pictures will be popping up in blogosphere soon.
I love that movie! And I too hate to fly!!!!!! I hope that you have a beautiful safe and wonderful trip!!!!You will have to give us all of the details when you back !
Dear Sophie, I hope your travelling was pain free and you are now enjoying a lifetime dream trip, wow girly holiday I am super jealous, I am sure you will have loads of amazingly gorgeous piccy's when you get bak and can't wait to see them. Have loads of fun Kara xxx
You will have a FABULOUS time, I know!!! I'm thinking of what you must be doing at just this moment--probably wandering around those wonderful Florentine streets, eating gelato or stopping to have a bit of vino...or, lets not forget shopping! I can't wait to hear all about it!
Oh you lucky, lucky gal!!! Hope that your week is full of fun and look forward to your stories. LOL about the red eyes! Cute little kitties!!! Best wishes! Becky xo
