ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am hoping I don't offend you, Sophie, but the first thing that came to my head (with the first photo) is he looks like an image right out of the movie Ghostbusters! Must be his glowing eyes from the flash. Your cat's photos are hilarious and I can only imagine what you said when you saw him sitting there! Laughing no doubt! Thank you for sharing. He really is a cutie pie!
Have a good one! MEOWWWWWWW!

I used to have a favourite wooden salad bowl until a cat I owned dis a wee in it, I must admit it was a toss up whether to keep the bowl and tell no-one, but common sense prevailed!

Love the pictures, hope you had a good weekend

Ha! That must have been a surprise! I especially love that last shot, the one with the glowing eyes and threatening posture! Priceless! Pets are such a treasure, aren't they? Thanks for a good laugh and have a great day!

I think it's hilarious. And having 6 cats myself, I know how they can be. I woke up one morning to find paw tracks across my stove.

So glad you're camera was nearby.

The glowing eyes do make your cat look "scary" in a cute way of course. Amazed that you had the camera ready well done. Made me laugh

Being a cat lover, I could only chuckle at this. Cats will be cats! Mine sticks his tongue out at us too. LOL! I say you just scrub that pan and move on but hey, like I said, I am a cat lover.....

Sophie, I laughed so hard at the pictures! I'm a cat lover, and am never surprised where I find my cats!
Also, wanted to thank you for visiting my blog yesterday and leaving a comment. You're my very first commentor (maybe visitor too), and I'm so glad it was you because I love reading your blog. Have a good day!!

Oh Sophie,
Spider is just hilarious and he looks sooooo superior in his pan, like he couldn't care less what you think. That nonchalant licking of his underbelly - just priceless. Thank goodness you captured it on your camera, you could never have staged that 'cause as we all know, cats are a law unto themselves. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Sophie,
I thought the pics were great and you should think of some captions to add to them and sell them to a card company.
I must hold my hand up to the fact that I can't quite get used to the idea that he has no fur though.I know it's their breed, does he wear a coat in winter or does he stay in ?
He looked very pleased with himself,I often wonder what goes through my cats' head at times and I thought the same when I saw these pictures of Spider.
That's one reason I love cats.
Best Wishes Kat xx

OH Me! I have a cat named Clarence...he has a wee bit more hare than your Spider, and I've been finding evidence that he has been prowling atop my stove during the night...and yes I fuss and cuss the whole time I'm cleaning the cat hair off my stove!

Cats can find the most unusual spots can't they?
:)

All I can say is "HAVE MERCY!!!"

...about his eyes ... Halloween cat?

This is just too funny!
Yes, glad you threw the pan away!
...or maybe you should have just sat in it the corner for him!

Hi Sophie, I left a comment earlier, but when I submitted it I got a "page cannot be displayed". So annoying when you write a big comment and then it disappears. At any rate, just wanted to let you know how funny your pictures are!! I bet you were so surpised this morning when you came down for your tea. And he was so obliging to let you snap away with your camera - good thing you had it at the ready. Great pictures!! We are having a great time here in California!! We've been antiquing today - I got several fun things. Tomorrow we're going to Disneyland, and again on Tuesday (Evy's birthday). We're having great fun! Hope you're doing well!!

You're killing me! Or rather, Spider, is killing me! lol He knew he was in no danger. He probably figured you didn't even know how to turn the blasted stove top on anyway. lol Those pictures are absolutely priceless. This is the sort of post people should be forwarding to their friends. You've actually made me laugh out loud!!!! (And Sydney the Wonder Dog is looking at me like I'm crazy, too).

Hi Sophie,
I am not shocked at all. My daughter has 4 cats, so I am used to seeing cats in strange places.
He is so cute.
Glad you threw out the pan though.
Had a good laugh,

hahahahahaa I LOVE IT! That cat of yours is sooooooo funny! I love it when pets just act as pets...

Claire said...

How cute is that! I love the strange, and often disturbing things that cats do. My friend Rach is cat sitting for a friend who lives round the corner from us - she went to see Dominic (the biggest and loudest ginget tom I have ever seen in my life) yowl very loudly, and lassie-like led the way to the bathroom, where he proceeded to take a dump in the bath. Later that day, he did the same again and jumped into the washbasin and did a wee. Both times totally ignoring the perfectly spotless litter trays that were there for his use. You could set a blog up where people can post their pictures of their pets doing odd things!

OMG, too funny! And kinda creepy, too. Glad to hear you threw out the frying pan. I think you need to re-evaluate the whole learning how to cook thing. Maybe you should take up knitting -- then you could knit Spider a sweater! :)

Well, it's not worse than the mouse that seems to have taken up house inside my oven!! Oh yes, it IS horrid but I can't seem to catch the bugger. Every now and then I turn the oven on just in the hopes of... well, you know. But, alas, by morning I hear him again. We've set out poison but I don't want to put it in the oven. And I even made a concocction of powdered sugar and plaster of paris that someone told me worked like a charm. Nothing!! Perhaps the old pink stove has some chemical emission that keeps mice from dying! I don't know but could I borrow your cat??? Blessings... Polly

Thanks for such a funny post!

Hahahahaha! Love the last one!

Oh, a good wash and the pan would be fine.

It doesn't look like you have this problem with that particular cat, but the front of my stainless steel stove is covered in orange cat hair. We just hope it doesn't land in our food, but if it does, we just pick it out. Fur babies are too, too special and pampered.

Dena,
Thanks for visiting my blog. (you know you don't have to)
I'm busy catching up on all your previous posts. You are one interesting gal.
I smile at some of the terminology you use that's so similar to what we used in Africa.
Like Sitting Room instead of Living room or icing instead of frosting etc.
Ah! Nostalgia!

That is hilarious! I laughed so so so hard! Oh yea baby, go out and get yourself a new set of pans! ha ha ha And also, that cat is so lucky to have you as an owner as I'm sure not everyone would see the humor in that and instead of buying new pans, they'd be paying for a cat funeral. ha ha

What a shock I got tonight - expecting to see at least a gorgeous housey picture! I can't believe the expression on its his face! They reallt do rule our lives don.t they - every night I complain about cat hairs on the sofa and every day I leave her sleeping there as I leave for work cos she looks so comfy!! BY the way just to let you know my problem at work is sorted out - my boss told her to grow up and stop sulking and I wnet over and we shook hands. We have working together today - it will never be perfect and I am still looking for another job but its sooo much better - think of all the sleep I am going to get now! By the way I am feeling a little twitchy about the house we are buying cos things are moving along at the solicitors and they havent found anywhere to move to yet hmmm - fingers crossed. Look after that cat! Catherine

Oh Sophie! You are too funny!
Oh dear....I hate to say this...but perhaps he has always done this and only now got caught! Since he is hairless he doesn't leave behind evidence!
Fried Kitty Pants at Sophies!
There was a Chinese restaurant in my hometown when I was little. We went there for dinner one night, it was ok, no immediate plans to go back. Than the next week (this is a true story!) in the local paper there was a big write up about how that very Chinese restaurant got immediately closed down because they had kitties in their freezer! I swear it is true! From then on, whenever we drove by where the restaurant use to be I'd shout out "Fried Kitty Pants!" I did not eat a meat dish that night but my poor parents did and now all we can do is wonder! Meow!
On a lighter note...I am hosting a masquerade party over at alldolledup.typepad.com and I'd love for you to attend Sophie and do bring Tom and Spider! :) Cece

Hi Sophie,
Spider certainly is an original. Cats are funny creatures & will find the oddest places to relax! We have a new cat and she is very clever and can open the door to our laundry cupboard where the towels etc are...she just loves getting in there for the ocassional snooze! I have to put something up against the door to stop her opening it now!
LOve your pics!!
