The sweetest little Dutch antique shop...

Isn't this the sweetest window display?

Sophie, I would have had the exact same reaction to a store front like the one in your picture. My pulse quickens as well when I see a sign for antiques, especially when the window display is as cute as the one in your picture. Love antiques! And I am very happy that you were able to subscribe to "Romantic Homes". I know you will really like it. I think today I will be going to Barnes & Noble to get my English magazines "The English Country Home", and "Country Homes & Interiors". I just love them. Also, I'm so very happy that you are liking blogging. It really does warm my heart :o)

Hello to you, Sophie. I found you, in comments in Lizzie's blog. Since I too love many of the things you do, I'm sure I will enjoy visiting here.

If you happen to visit my blog, and scroll back some, you'll see that I love roses and 'pretty' and ... etc. :-) This blog {'smilnsigh'} is my retreat from everything. So I indulge in a lot of pretty/pink/old fashioned/etc. here. :-)

Oh Sophie, I too am in Love from that house from Practical Magic! Minus the stiff in the Rose garden He He!!!! I wonder if that is a real home or a staged production? It was incredible .I loved the kitchen and the outside architecture!!! It is soo funny that you dream of US mags and we dream of getting our hands on Magazines from abroad!!!! Those are incredible magazines. I am a lucky girl my mother knows how much I love them, and she renews my subscriptions for me every year!!!! Maybe we should do periodic swaps?

This looks a great little shop. I am wondering if you have ever visited 'Sharland and Lewis' in Tetbury? It is VERY similar - great to browse in, especially if you like that kind of thing!!

PS: I recently subscribed to 'Romantic Homes' after Gena from 'These Foolish Things' posted the subscription link on her blog. Can't wait to receive my first copy.

I must watch this film sometime. I love the house in the Holiday, Rosehill Cottage, that is, not the large LA mansion, and other people have said that the house in Practical Magic is lovely.... wonder if I can justify the DVD as a holiday present to myself.... I am the L'Oreal girl. Why did I buy that? Because I'm worth it!
